BUNZL Senior Trade Compliance Analyst in Collierville, Tennessee

MCR Safety, a Bunzl company, is seeking a Senior Trade Compliance Analyst. This role will be based at our headquarters location in Collierville, TN. They will be responsible for defining and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure all entities within corporate oversight are compliant with trade compliance regulations. The position requires the ability to analyze and collect data from internal and external partners to support policies and functions. This position must maintain knowledge of trade regulations through research and effective analysis. This role supports corporate global trade compliance programs and efforts by managing projects, developing, and implementing procedures, identifying gaps, and assisting with the resolution of issues. The role is also tasked with assisting in the alignment of global trade compliance program with corporate objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Corporate Global Trade Compliance for import/export compliance.

  • Analyze data to support compliance, covering areas like HTS classification, COO, Valuation, FTA, PGA, Export Controls, and more.

  • Manage C-TPAT and Foreign Trade Zone programs.

  • Conduct internal and external compliance audits.

  • Handle compliance reporting, data analysis, and metrics.

  • Manage broker performance metrics.

  • Address trade compliance issues, develop project plans, and document resolutions.

  • Ensure accurate data and record-keeping.

  • Work with companies and brokers on customs entry details.

  • Develop employee training on global trade compliance.

  • Update stakeholders on trade law changes.

  • Conduct customs entry compliance audits.

  • Stay updated on relevant trade laws and regulations.

  • Provide leadership and coach team members.

  • Audit preferential trade agreements for cost savings.

  • Understand MCR Safety and its relation to trade compliance.

  • Document internal procedures.

  • Prioritize tasks and projects.

  • Conduct research, analyze data, and present recommendations.

  • Continually update skills through training.

  • Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Adapt to ambiguous environments.

  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Legal, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in trade compliance or closely related field.

  • Strong knowledge of product classification and all current U.S. Customs laws and governmental regulations to maintain compliance and retain trade privileges.

  • Intermediate knowledge of ERP Business Systems, Global Trade Compliance software and Transportation Management Systems

  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft programs, and other productivity applications.

  • Experience with analyzing and collecting data for policies, including but not limited to HTS, COO, Valuation, FTA, and Export Controls.

  • Customs Compliance Continuous Improvement and Control – ability to recognize improvement and control opportunities within Trade Compliance, including advising, auditing, quality control and continuous improvement skills.

  • Must be detail oriented, either written, orally, or presented. Able to break down requirements to task levels to achieve project level accomplishment. Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved.

  • CSS - Certified Classification Specialist

  • LCB – Licensed Customs Broker

  • MCS - Master Classification Specialist

  • CES – Certified Export Specialist
