BUNZL Regional IT Support (Safety Division) in Fairfield, Ohio
Description
Bunzl is currently seeking a Regional IT Support resource to work with our Safety Division. The Regional IT Support – Level 2 position will have a thorough understanding of the system and business processes, as well as have the ability to translate real-world problems to system-based solutions. The candidate will possess business analytical skills sufficient for working with business process owners to evaluate requirements, recommend process improvements and configure the ERP solution. The candidate will be hands-on throughout the implementation of the business solution and will collaborate to maintain a high-level of business, systems and product understanding. The role may also require collaboration and coordination with third-party consulting teams. The ideal candidate will possess previous exposure to ERP systems and software, accounting software, MRP, etc.
This position will be on-site in Fairfield, Ohio.
This individual will be the main contact point for implementation and various post-live and maintenance procedures deemed necessary. The Regional IT Support role will advise on best practices for the effective and efficient use of the ERP, while simultaneously becoming a subject matter expert in the content and tools necessary to maintain and maximize its capabilities.

Responsibilities:
Implementation
Play a key role in supporting the implementation of new business applications and systems through post-live optimization and maintenance
Work effectively with ERP/Finance/HR/Business Operations and IT teams to execute projects and roadmap items
Present alternative solutions, using creative-thinking expertise and solution prototypes to ensure effective reporting and analysis
Provide technical and subject matter expertise to project teams involved in the development of implementation and test plans associated with complex application upgrades and implementations
Troubleshoot issues and assist with support through systems testing and error resolution
Coordinate planning and conduct training classes for end users
Manage relationship between external and internal stakeholders
Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies
Provide guidance during the detailed design, build, test and deploy phases
Develop requirements for automated monitoring tools
Daily Support
Connect closely with the business and serve as the business facing support team
Own the business interaction for projects, whether led by IT or a business sponsor
Establish, document and promote best practices and standards
Conduct application training or provide guidance to the field users
Collaborate with the business teams on projects and enhancement requests
Educate the businesses on digital solutions benefits (EDI, EFT/ACH, eWarehouse, collaboration tools, etc.)
Serve as business process improvement specialist
Gather requirements when new solutions (applications, reports, etc.) are needed
Reduce open/ongoing incidents or break-fix solutions
Coordinate change management for ERP demands and all other applications
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related Business Process Management discipline (Computer Science, Engineering or related field); or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications and related work experience
Manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred
Full-cycle ERP deployments and/or support experience preferred
EDI customer onboarding experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to professionally represent Bunzl to customers and vendors
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Self-motivated with a high attention to detail
Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, with frequently changing requirements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to apply technology in solving business problems
Project planning and management skills, including exposure to making operational decisions, monitoring progress, taking corrective action and reporting results
Advanced Excel skills
Provide support outside of normal business hours, as needed
Office and travel between site locations, as required, along with occasional out-of-state travel
