BUNZL Purchasing Agent in City of Industry, California
Description
Liberty Safety, a Bunzl company, is seeking a Purchasing Agent for our office in City of Industry, CA. As a leading national safety manufacturer and wholesaler for over 30 years, we are continuing to grow. The Purchasing Agent will support the Director of Purchasing with the coordination of inbound purchase orders from vendors. This position is responsible for all products and vendors assigned to them, as well as the coordination of the transportation of items in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Responsibilities:
Communicate with global manufacturers and suppliers
Product selection, development, and sourcing
Negotiate price and terms with manufacturers and suppliers
Place purchase orders with vendors
Monitor inventory levels/inventory control among warehouses
New product development/market research
Requirements:
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Previous experience in safety (PPE) industry strongly preferred
Bi-lingual English/Chinese (fluent verbal and written) strongly preferred
3-5 years or more experience in international purchasing, import/export, sourcing, price negotiation
Proficient in business negotiations, sales analysis, trend forecasting, and item management
Excellent negotiation skills
Familiar with ERP systems
Computer literate, organized, self-motivated and works well in a team environment
Must be able to multi-task and must be detail-oriented
Must be a problem solver
Liberty California salary range: $64,480 - $80,000 based on experience, education, and geographic location.
