BUNZL Quality Assurance Technician in Fairfield, Ohio

Description

John Tillman, a Bunzl company, is looking for an ambitious, safety-minded, and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician. This position is responsible for performing inspections on incoming parts and materials used in our products, along with utilizing precision measuring instruments to ensure proper assembly and dimensions. The Technician will ensure that product engineering specifications are met, work closely with the Receiving Department and will perform random inspections on in-house rework.

The Quality Assurance Technician will have a key role in the development of the overall support and inspection of Tillman products. Along with the quality initiatives, this individual will also assist with external, digital communication and product analysis. This position will ensure Tillman is conveying a professional, positive, consistent and quality product to both the users and the distributors of our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete incoming inspections, first article inspections and quality review audits

  • Provide feedback and reporting for internal and external partners

  • Assist with the approval of annual audits with regulatory agencies

  • Process and maintain daily complaint submissions from end users and distributors, including updates, tracking and resolution

  • Work with a cross-functional team to create Corrective Action Reports and Supplier Scorecards

  • Work with various teams to develop a collaborative process for rolling out sales and marketing initiatives

  • Participate in team meetings and take responsibility for initiatives related to specific products and other assigned action items

  • Embrace collaborative, teamwork-based decision making

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Related experience in a quality-focused position; incoming inspection preferred

  • Professional automated testing experience, preferably in an Agile environment

  • Proficient in test planning and reporting

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Excel experience is required, including experience using pivot tables and xlookups

  • Self-starter who works well independently with minimal instruction

  • Team player who can build long-term relationships within and outside of the company

  • Strong time-management skills and an ability to multitask

  • Strong attention to detail with follow through

  • Strong presentation and reporting skills

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
