MCR Safety, a Bunzl company, is now hiring for an Associate Maintenance Technician at our Distribution Center in Piperton, TN. The Associate Maintenance Tech is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the warehouse building, facilities, and equipment. Works under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Building: Maintain and carry out inspections of the building equipment such as HVAC, electrical systems, fire suppression, compressed air, plumbing, etc.

• Repairs: Perform all repairs on conveyors, powered industrial equipment, manufacturing equipment, various styles of production equipment and other warehouse power equipment to ensure availability and safe operation.

• Maintenance: Carry out preventive maintenance programs for all machines and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

• Reporting: Prepare company required reports on preventive maintenance and safety inspections. Complete reports on forklift training to meet OSHA requirements.

• Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Maintain company tools and maintenance related items in an orderly fashion. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards while performing all duties.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or Equivalent; Technical training preferred

• Up to 2 years’ experience as a maintenance tech or similar position

• Current working experience in industrial electricity, reading and comprehending various schematics, carpentry, electronics, welding and hydraulics.

• Some warehousing equipment maintenance and repair experience is preferred.

• Mechanical, and maintenance, and repair procedures; HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic theory; Safe work practices,

• OSHA rules and regulations; general carpentry, plumbing, construction principals.

• Must have the ability to lift at least 65lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations

• Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment on a regular basis, ability to handle multiple tasks is a must
